Hi Friends,

                This Sunday, December 21^st, we continue our Christmas series on “Gifts that Keep on Giving”.  I will be speaking from 2 Samuel 7:1-11, 16 and Luke 2:1-7 on “A Home for Jesus”.  We will also be celebrating communion in both our 9:30am and 11:00am services.

                Here are some of the questions that I want us to wrestle with this Sunday morning.  When does a house become a home?  Do you live in a house or a home?  What is the difference between a house and a home?  And where or what does God consider to be His home here on earth?

                I am excited at the Word God has placed on my heart for this week.  Pastor Samuel and our worship team are ready to lead us in a time of joyous praise as we celebrate Christmas and the birth of our Lord Jesus.

                We also invite you to join us on Christmas Eve at 6:00pm for a Candlelight Service.  Have a blessed and joyous Christmas as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Gifts that Keep On Giving - When the Spirit of the Lord is On Us

Hi Friends,

 

Wow – is this fun or what?!  This Sunday morning, December 14^th, will be full of excitement.  In our 9:30am Heritage Service I will be continuing our “Gifts that Keep on Giving” Christmas series with a message from Isaiah 61 on “When the Spirit of the Lord is on Us”.  I am excited to share God’s Word as we consider how life changes when God’s Spirit is on us.

 

And in our 11:00am service our children will be offering their Christmas program – “It’s a Wonderful Life”.  Under the direction of Julie Walker and her team, our children will joyously sing and tell us the Christmas story in their own inimitable way.

 

These are hard times.  I do realize that.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the many families who are struggling financially or in other ways this Christmas.  Yet all of the hardships of this world cannot stop Christmas.  God sent His Son Jesus as a gift to our world.  A gift to each one of us.  Jesus is the reason for the season.  Jesus is a gift that keeps on giving.  A gift that we can unwrap each day of every year.  This Christmas I invite you to consider new ways to celebrate Jesus.  And to find new ways to introduce Jesus to your family and friends.

Gifts That Keep On Giving - Close To The Heart Of Jesus

Hi Friends,

 

Hard times and hard places.  The news just gets more and more depressing.  Part of the pain is that it hits so close to home.  Year to date it is reported that 1.9 million jobs have been lost across our nation.  And we know all too well that thousands of those jobs have been here in the Treasure Valley.  How do we celebrate Christmas in the midst of hard times and hard places?  What does God have to say to His people in the midst of hard times and hard places?  These are some of the questions that we will consider this Sunday, December 7^th, as we continue our Christmas series “Gifts that Keep on Giving”.  I will be preaching from Isaiah 40:1-11 on “Staying Close to the Heart of Jesus”.  I hope you will be able to join us.  Because there is hope … as we stay close to the heart of Jesus!
